He came from China and became a disciple of ‘KALANGINATHA SIDDHAR’. He did yoga in a strenuous way and achieved many siddhis. One of his specialisations was in his handling the poisionous herbs called ‘PASHANAM’. He could cure may ailments using such poisionous herbs. His indelible mark of achievement is the construction of Lord Karthikeya’s statue with ‘Nine Pashana’ herbs, which still exists in ‘PALANI’ temple. By using ‘Rasavada’ (Alchemy) technique, he used to roam around in the sky, finding out the natural resources and reporting them. He exposed many ‘magicians’ by explaining their, modus operandi, in detail through poems.

After completing these rituals, they must sit in front of the sanctum of Annai Mandhira Paavai and the 18 Siddhas and recite the 108 Siddhar Potrigal, paying special attention to the chant(s) for Bhogar Siddhar given below.
